I’ve been Chelsea all my life.

As a young boy, I fell in love with the Chelsea of Bonetti, McCreadie, Harris, Hollins,

Baldwin, Webb, Cooke, Hudson, Osgood, Hutchinson and Houseman.

The Royal Blue shirt, the Royal Blue shorts with white piping and white stockings

(socks to you and me).

I’ve stood in the pissing rain watching Droy, Bumstead, Dixon, Walker and Nevin.

(’30 years of hurt’ should have been written for us.)

But when Wise went up to lift the FA Cup, I was there!

And I’ve watched 19 major trophies lifted in 19 years – thank you Roman!

But no matter what, every time I walk into this special patch of SW6, every time I get

to the top of those stairs, every time I first see the pitch and first hear those roars, the

hairs on the back of my neck still stand up.
